February Faerie Folk – Village Faeries My Version

Finished my version of my watercolor class assignment. The class version is far from this, the style and composition I chose.

I signed up for the year long class of Faerie Folk, knowing I would not be following the watercolor lessons but rather mixing all kinds of techniques to complete  my faeries on a set of oracle cards that I’ve cut from mixed media paper.

I am far from the original. And have interpreted the several extra class prompts into my own interests.

For this one, instead of the assigned media, I used gouache, mixed pens, watercolor, alcohol markers, colored pencils, and more. My papers are mixed media, drawing, tracing paper, cardstock, a real mish mash of true mixed media.

My faerie looks on as her mates flutter about their village.
